My name is SamanthaJane, But since I like you, you can call me Sam.

Welcome to my corner of the Internet! I use this space to document my fitness journey in all it's many shapes and forms

On the 9th October 2011 I was the first person in my family to run a marathon. and the following year I ran my second marathon

Since then I lost my love affair with running and I'm trying to find my place in the world of fitblrs and weightloss.

I'll write about other stuff too, because my life isn't just about running and losing weight, I'm much, much more than that. I'm a photographer and filmmaker. I'm a daughter, sister and girlfriend living far away from those who I love. I'm a Tasmanian living in Mackay trying to make a life for myself.

So take your time, look around. My world is yours to share.

Marty got the job in WA that we’ve been waiting for months to hear about! He finally got a start date which is in about 6 weeks time.

We also made the decision NOT to move to Perth but to move to Melbourne instead and he will fly between Melbourne and Perth.

This is exciting and it means not starting over again completely in a new city far away from home. But it does leave an awful lot of uncertainties in my world which are making me anxious.

We were planning to go on holidays for 4 weeks in December (to Melbourne for Chris and Sandy’s wedding, then to Singapore for their second wedding, then Thailand for a week and then back to tassie for a week for Christmas) there’s now a big possibility that Marty won’t be able to take all that time off and I’ll have to do the Singapore/tassie leg by myself and possibly cut out Thailand all together.

It also means that I need to make a decision, do I move to Melbourne and try to find a temporary job and apartment for around 6 weeks before I’ll most likely have to quit (because who will give me time off in December for 4 weeks when I’ve just started) or do I move back to tassie and live with my parents and help them out with their busy time of year? Considering nanas still not very well mum will still be going back and forth between home and Albury.

I just really need someone to give me a temp job and a room to live in for 6 weeks and I won’t feel so anxious!

Today was full of big life choices, there’s a bunch of big decisions coming my way and probably a lot of hard work and I’m a bit nervous and scared but kinda excited too

Anybody got a bedroom I can rent in Melbourne for about a month/6 weeks in late October- November?

It rained all night last night and I fell asleep quicker than I have in a long time and it was magical! The rain has stopped now but I think it might only be momentary as it looks like it’s clouding over again. It’s hard to drag myself out of bed on days like this
